Hi - I’m Kris, founder, trauma survivor - and proud champion for mental health awareness
I grew up surrounded by mental illness, witnessing my mother who suffered from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in various mental institutions.
At the age of 11, I lost my older brother to suicide which forever altered the course of my life.
And I will dedicate my entire life to helping other people recognize that it’s ok not to be ok.
lf you have ever suffered from mental illness, or know someone who has, I want to assure you that you are not alone.
There is a community of support out there. It starts here, now. I want to hear your stories, because your voice matters.
If you are willing to share your story, it will be posted anonymously so we can stand in solidarity of each other’s struggles - and remind each other that there is hope.
Kris is a licensed psychotherapist (LMHC), certified running, cycle and group fitness coach, lululemon Ambassador and accomplished distance runner. She has completed 10 marathons and an Ultra-Marathon and qualified for the Boston Marathon 6 times. She was also the worst runner on her middle school track team, a bench warmer for the field hockey team in high school, and was always told she didn’t have what it takes.
The thing that helped her rise above was eliminating the words “I can’t” from her vocabulary.
Keep Going.
